Strategic Goals and Sub-Goals

STRATEGIC GOAL #1: Advance Inclusive Transformational Education & Student Engagement & Success

SUB-GOALS:

  • Identify, enhance & develop in-demand academic programs and enriched learning experiences
  • Cultivate a culture of diversity and inclusion
  • Develop an engaging, supportive and vibrant campus community
  • Empower and prepare students for personal and professional growth and a healthy lifestyle
  • Expand campus engagement with Gator Athletics to enhance student-athlete leadership experience and personal growth
STRATEGIC GOAL #2: Drive enrollment, philanthropic, and financial growth

SUB-GOALS

  • Increase enrollment across all University programs
  • Advance a culture which enables fundraising growth and increases philanthropic support to the institution across donor constituencies
  • Strengthen financial resources in order to improve institutional effectiveness and advance NDMU
  • Explore and coordinate opportunities to expand external and community outreach to support NDMU growth, enrollment, philanthropic partners and financial strength.
STRATEGIC GOAL #3: Enhance NDMU’s leadership position and visibility in Baltimore, Maryland and beyond

SUB-GOALS:

  • Launch the University’s rebranding platform and evaluate and assess market penetration internally and externally
  • Expand and strengthen domestic and global partnerships to enhance institutional visibility and market position
  • Develop systems to maximize use of University leadership, faculty and alumni to communicate NDMU’s strengths in Baltimore City, the State of Maryland and beyond
  • Advance NDMU’s leadership position as a comprehensive regional university, particularly in education, science and healthcare
  • Establish NDMU as a leading expert in Women’s Education and the advancement of women
STRATEGIC GOAL #4: Ensure an institutional culture of leadership, innovation & excellence in administrative services

SUB-GOALS:

  • Enhance the public safety of the NDMU community and effectively manage risk
  • Develop and implement plans/policies/procedures to build an inclusive working environment and strengthen the University’s recruitment, retention and performance of employees
  • Enhance University facilities and the effectiveness and efficiency of student and administrative services to enrich the student experience
  • Introduce technology enhancements to enrich teaching, learning, business and student experiences
STRATEGIC GOAL #5: Enrich SSND charism and life-long community engagement

SUB-GOALS:

  • Engage the NDMU community in opportunities to learn about, claim and preserve NDMU’s identity as a Catholic university motivated by the SSND charism
  • Create a University-wide campus structure to identify and sustain programs of social responsibility and design new initiatives that will arise and assure fidelity to NDMU’s treasured traditions
  • Stimulate a campus-wide culture of social responsibility and social justice grounded in the Catholic Tradition and the SSND charism
