We validate our students’ learning through rigorous internal and external assessments that ensure mission-focus and sufficiency in the Common Professional Components as defined by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs and reported through university processes.

Business Programs Respond to Our Core Mission

The business and nonprofit programs at º£½ÇÉçÇø develop socially responsible leaders who understand core business concepts, solve problems ethically, think critically, and communicate effectively to maximize sustainable results for both organizations and the larger society.

Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP)

º£½ÇÉçÇø received ACBSP accreditation for the following programs:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Business
  • Bachelor of Arts in International Business
  • Bachelor of Arts in Marketing Communications
  • Master of Arts in Leadership and Management
  • Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management

Certificate programs are not eligible for ACBSP accreditation: the post-baccalaureate certificates in Leadership and Management, Leadership in Nonprofit Management, and Risk Management are not eligible for accreditation. The Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication will not be accredited.

Goal: Our undergraduate students will score at or above national averages as measured in Peregrine Academics Services externally-validated undergraduate exams for the Common Professional Component topics.

Results: Accounting, information systems, leadership, and management are especially high.

Goal: Our undergraduate students will lead responsibly and communicate effectively.

Results: Teamwork, leading within a group setting and the ability to give and receive feedback are hallmarks of our undergraduate programs as measured by internal assessments the Teamwork and Negotiation course, which is required in all undergraduate business and business-related majors. The goal is for 80% of students to meet criteria in team leadership, interpersonal skills, conflict resolutions, and the ability to give and receive feedback.

Accomplishments - MA in Leadership and Management

Goal: Our graduate students will demonstrate increased personal leadership and interpersonal skill through self-awareness, personal growth and renewal, and increased understanding of self in relation to others.

Results: Our students develop habits of mind that enable them to lead compassionately and strategically.
