To be considered for admissions to �������� for undergraduate study, students need the following materials:

• Completed application
• Official transcripts from all academic institutions previously attended. Transcripts submitted for admissions review purposes must be from an accredited college/university.

If applying without an associate’s degree (AA/AS), then you will also need:

• Official high school transcript, diploma or valid GED indicating high school completion.
• Submit resume indicating at least one year of work or military experience (beyond high school)

Note: Admissions to the undergraduate program is typically based on a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher (all college credits taken or high school or comparable GED score). If the cumulative GPA is between 2.0 and 2.45, students are required to take additional testing (Accuplacer test). International students will also be required to submit:

• Official transcripts (high school or college) translated and evaluated through World Education Services (WES) or American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) for course-by-course credit evaluation and U.S. grade equivalencies.

• Financial affidavit (utilizing the College Board International form) indicating ability to finance collegiate program.

Admissions essay question for RN to BSN: The NDMU School of Nursing prepares graduates for opportunities and possibilities of fulfilling the mission “educating nurses to transform the world.” The essay is considered seriously in the application review process. Take care to write clearly, logically, and grammatically correct with attention to correct structure and format of good writing. Please address both of the following instructions in a 750-1000 word essay: (APA formatting is preferred.)

• Describe how you intend to work towards fulfilling this mission upon program completion. Please speak specifically to the concentration to which you are applying. Please make mention of your goals for the future.
• Provide a balanced assessment of your personal characteristics that may impact your ability to fulfill this mission. Please ensure that you speak to your leadership and interpersonal style.

Alumni of the University are exempt for providing transcripts, unless they attended another institution after completing their degree at ��������.

Students with a Master’s Degree

Students who have completed a previous master’s degree are exempt from completing the essay requirement.

Transfer Credit Option

Students with graduate level work completed at another university are eligible to transfer up to six credits from a similar program. Request for review is made at admissions and approval comes from the dean of the School.

The Certificate in Risk Management is a non-degree, graduate-level program. In order to be approved for this program, students need to submit the following:

• Completed form
• Completion of bachelor’s degree – transcripts needed for verification of degree received
• Cumulative grade point average of 3.0

Due to the nature of the program, students should have substantive professional experience that lends itself to developing risk expertise. International students would need a strong command of the English language as indicated by an official TOEFL score (550 or higher).
