I feel fortunate to now be teaching at the same school where I interned. The cohort experience provides an invaluable, built-in support-system of faculty and classmates. The structure of the GEI program met all of my expectations and I graduated feeling confident and well-prepared to begin my career in teaching.

Overall, I feel extremely prepared to be a full time teacher next year. The program is exactly what I wanted: fast paced, a lot of time in the classroom, and rigorous classes. Getting a masters in 10 months can be difficult, but worth the stress!

Michtta was selected for the Senior Commissioned Officer Student Training and Extern Program (SRCOSTEP) by the U.S. Public Health Service. As one of nine trainees from across the country, Michtta will be commissioned as an Ensign while she completes her Doctor of Pharmacy. Upon graduation, she will be a commissioned officer assigned to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Kyle is the recipient of the National Community Pharmacists Association Foundation Presidential Scholarship. As a recipient of this scholarship, Kyle demonstrated a strong interest in independent pharmacy practice, leadership qualities and accomplishments, involvement in extracurricular activities and academic achievement.

My English major involved a lot of critical thinking and how to build the well-structured argument, something that is incredibly important in law. Additionally, my two minors in Philosophy and Communication Arts enabled me to be specific about the area that I want to specialize in - Intellectual Property. Field Hockey teammates Megan Morales and Jessica Wells were invited by USA Athletes International to play with Team USA in Barbados! Their adventure included more than just field hockey―they also had time to enjoy the island and even went snorkeling with sea turtles!

The NDMU School of Nursing has instilled in me six valued ends that have transformed my practice as a future nurse: Presence, Praxis, Scholarship, Leadership, Advocacy, and Self-Care. By remaining in the present moment during client care, using evidence-based practice, and advocating for underserved populations, I can maximize optimal health for each individual and ensure safety in the clinical setting.
